I had access to an early language generation system, GPT2 from OpenAI. It was glitchy and wonderfully prone to error. I re-trained it on my favourite works of queer and outsider literature and we held long conversations.
After 3 years of talking to my strange systems I wanted to stand back and see what these creatures might look like, see what shape they were. I wrote code to place all their hundreds of thousands of words of text responses line by line, rotating and positioning according to aspects of the words.
The titles of the images come from the systems' answers to my many questions about what they are, what they do and what they want.
